About Us

Our organization provides financial assistance to county residents who could otherwise not afford to have their pets spayed or neutered.

We use the services of:

  • The Joy Clinic, a component of New Leash on Life in Lebanon, TN which provides spay/neuter services to any dog or cat in need.

  • Sequatchie Valley Low Cost Spay & Neuter, Dunlap, TN, provides low cost Spay/Neuter services for families in the Sequatchie Valley region of Tennessee and to organizations whose mission includes a “Respect for Life" by reversing the universal acceptance of KILLING as a solution to pet overpopulation by using low cost spay and neuter, education, pet adoption and community involvement.

  • Major Mike Shipley Spay & Neuter, Cookeville, TN, provides low cost Spay/Neuter services for families in the Upper Cumberland region of Tennessee.

  • Paul's Clinic, McMinnville, TN, a low-cost Spay/Neuter Clinic.

With the exception of a few cases, all our clients are referred to these facilities, enabling us to make our dollars stretch further.  Each potential client is interviewed to determine their needs and how they can best be met.  Based on the information, we determine how much the client can afford to contribute to the procedure, and White County Humane Society picks up the remainder of the cost of surgery.  Our monies come through donations, grants, fund raising, aluminum can recycling and Doggie banks placed in businesses throughout White County.

Owners are given the option of taking their pet to a private vet, and we will inform them of the cost variances of which we are aware.  It is more expensive going to a private vet, and the cost paid out of pocket by the client is considerably more.
